  When opening a new checking account make sure you are aware of the promo's. In this case $200 if you open a new checking account via internet, we just moved into the area and did not realize this, and they will not mention it. Secondly, never indicated that opening deposit funds will be held for 5-7 business days, which is understandable but why does corporate indicate a simple 3 way conversation between Suntrust, yourself, and your bank will take care of the matter. The most aggravating is opening a safe deposit box at the same time using your a temporary check of your new account . Off course since the deposit is held, you also get a overdraft fee a few days later since you bounced a check. No problems "we will waive that fee" DUH! After a missive requesting information from this branch, I did receive a note 5 days later that they upgraded my complaint to the advocacy department. Those morons never did get back to me, nor did anyone else including the district manager. On the plus side, adequate parking, nice perpendicular lines, wide white lines, and spacing which will accommodate all size cars. Seriously, after you do make a mistake with this Suntrust Bank do ask for a cashiers check (note free of charge) to close out account. Plus on the bright side, they will not charge you for use of safe deposit box for 12 days.
